[2]Forthey shall soon wither like grass, and fade away as the green herbs.
[3]Trustin God, and do good; dwell in the land, and seek after faithfulness.
[4]Trustin the LORD; and he shall give you the desires of your heart.
[5]Commityour way to the LORD; trust also in him, and he shall bring it to pass.
[6]Heshall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your judgment as the noonday.
[7]Seekthe LORD, and pray before him; envy not the man who does evil, and prospers in his way.
[8]Ceasefrom anger, and forsake wrath; fret not yourself in any wise to do evil.
[9]Forevildoers shall be cut off: but those who trust in the LORD shall inherit the earth.
[10]Foryet a little while, and the wicked shall be no more: yea, you shall look for his place, and you shall not find it.
[11]Butthe meek shall inherit the earth, and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
[12]Thewicked plots against the just, and gnashes at him with his teeth.
[13]TheLORD shall laugh at him; for he sees that his day is coming.
[14]Thewicked have drawn out the sword and have bent their bow, to slay the poor and needy, and those who are upright in their way.
[15]Theirswords shall enter into their own hearts, and their bows shall be broken.
[16]Alittle that a righteous man has is better than the great riches of the wicked.
[17]Forthe arms of the wicked shall be broken; but the LORD upholds the righteous.
[18]TheLORD knows the days of the upright; and their inheritance shall be for ever.
[19]Theyshall not be ashamed in the evil time; and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.
[20]Forthe wicked shall perish, and the rich who are enemies of the LORD shall be consumed; they shall vanish like smoke.

[24]Thoughhe fall, he shall not be hurt; for the LORD upholds him with his hand.
[25]Ihave been young, and now am old; yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his descendants begging bread.
[26]Buthe is ever merciful and lends; and his offspring is blessed.
[27]Departfrom evil, and do good; and rest for evermore.
[28]Forthe LORD loves justice, and he forsakes not his righteous ones; he keeps them for ever; but the seed of the wicked, he destroys.

[32]Thewicked lies in wait for the righteous, and seeks to slay him.
[33]TheLORD will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.
[34]Trustin the LORD and keep his way, and he shall exalt you to inherit the land; when the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.
[35]ForI have seen the wicked boasting and spreading himself like stout forest trees;
[36]Yetwhen I passed by, lo, he was not; yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.
[37]Upholdthe perfect and select the upright; for there is a good end for peaceful men.
[38]Butsinners shall be destroyed together; yea, the end of the wicked shall be destruction.
[39]Butthe Saviour of the righteous is the LORD; he will help them in time of trouble.
[40]Andthe LORD shall help them and deliver them; he shall deliver them from the wicked and save them, because they trust in him.
