The Nestle-Aland Greek 26th/27th edition text is based on the Tischendorf, Westcott-Hort, and Weiss (earlier editions used Weymouth instead of Weiss) combined.The Nestle-Aland Greek 26th/27th edition text is based on the Tischendorf, Westcott-Hort, and Weiss (earlier editions used Weymouth instead of Weiss) combined.The Nestle-Aland 27th Edition text released in 1993 builds upon the legacy of Eberhard Nestle, Erwin Nestle, and especially Kurt Aland, its authorship is best described as collaborative, with oversight by the INTF (Institut für Neutestamentliche Textforschung, in Münster, Germany) and contributions from a wide scholarly network. For practical purposes, Kurt and Barbara Aland are often regarded as the leading figures behind the NA27.
